In the interests of our readers the Wimbledon Flats researchers were ordered to go on a fast food binge to identify Wimbledon’s top takeaway meals! After two weeks of extensive research during which time we tested more than forty takeaway meals we are able to reveal our top choices. To ensure fairness each restaurant was given a rating on the basis of food and preparation quality, customer service, portion size and value for money. In summary it’s fair to say that if you are prepared to search Wimbledon has a great choice of first class takeaway restaurants which are in many respects better than the eat-in variety.
The one major area of disagreement within the team was over pizza where no two researchers could agree. Votes were cast for Pizza Express for quality, Pizza Hut for sheer portion size while Dominoes scored well for service and value for money. As you’ll see we finally agreed on another restaurant altogether. Indian was much easier with one outstanding winner that everyone absolutely adored. In fact we fought over the leftovers next day! This was take-away food to die for.
